I took this photo as I walked my neighborhood Monday after the snow seemed to have stopped. I wanted to see if there was anything I could shoot. There really wasn’t but I took this. It’s interesting how much more quite it seems with snow cover ground, it very peaceful, minus the crunching of snow under foot. And the path you make leaves you feeling odd, like you’ve defaced some beautiful peace of art work as you look back at your foot prints in the snow.

Photoshop has a great tool for create panos called “Photomerge”. The trick is keeping an even horizontal line as you turn and spacing the images out evenly. Some people put the camera on a tripod. This pano and the pano of the UA football stadium where both done hand holding the camera.

I visited some very good friends of in Oklahoma this last weekend, Derek and Melinda Randle. Derek is one of the owners of War Eagle Retrievers and as always I enjoy visiting his farm because it’s such a relaxing place. Just a few weeks ago Derek became the first person to have 7 out of 7 dogs pass a Grand Field Trial Championship. For those of us who wouldn’t understand the difficulty this might be, out of a field of 429 dogs entered in the trials only 42 passed and 7 of those dogs Derek entered and trained. To make it even more impressive Derek only entered the seven dogs.

On my visit this weekend I shot photo for a project that I am working with him on. Derek is opening his property up for people to stay and train. I’m designing and building the new businesses web site WarEagleRetreat.com which will be up in the next few weeks.
